my my my, how time flies! not only do we have our amazing shake, rattle & roll parties at clintons every saturday, but two fridays from now, friday march 4th, bangs & blush are providing the ghetto-fabulous soundtrack to an amazing event for an amazing cause; GIRL FIGHT; lots of prizes, djs, babe boxing and all proceeds are going to nellie's women's shelter in toronto!

and then our first edition of disco sucks is very quickly approaching! friday march 11th, got your gold-fish platform boots yet?

this amazing association/team based out of toronto just launched their brand new website yesterday so check it out HERE; why? because according to the site:

HeartstringsTV is the collective creation of two filmmakers, one advertising executive and a whole lot of love for live music. Formed in 2010, the Toronto-based film production company specializes in filming the complete spectrum of live music performances. Whether it's live off the floor, or live on the stage, HeartstringsTV aims to capture the full sonic picture of an artist’s work for their audiences. HeartstringsTV is also dedicated to keeping music programs active in schools across Canada. Throughout the year, artists filmed by HeartstringsTV come together to play a specialHeartstringsLIVE event to raise funds for charities supporting music education.

50 years ago today, February 9th 1961, The Beatles played Liverpool's most famous music venue The Cavern Club for the first time! They would then go on to play there 252 times. John had started playing there before the Beatles with his band The Quarrymen (who eventually became the Beatles once Paul, George and then eventually Ringo joining). AND THEN, three years later on this exact date, a record 73 million people tuned in to The Beatles' inaugural appearance on "The Ed Sullivan Show". What's even crazier is how my dad recalls watching that on TV live when he was 5 years old. Insanity!

We're finally back this Saturday at Clintons (THANK GOD) and we'll be bringing you a very romantic/nomatic Valentines Day edition of  Shake, Rattle & Roll.  Shit is bound to get m-e-s-s-y so in honor of Valentines Day the hottest mess of them all we have made two playlists for all the romantics and nomantics out there.
